Hestra and the Environment

Hestra Gloves is committed to protecting our worlds’ natural resources. We feel our manufacturing should not impact the environment negatively. Therefore, we use natural renewable materials, such as wool and cotton, and leathers that utilize an environmentally friendly tanning process, without the use of Chrome.

Our ECO–Cure Glove and Mitt are a perfect example. We use 100% organic cotton (Ventile) which fibers swell when water/moisture hits the material so the moisture keeps out. We also utilize a natural Wool lining that can be hand-washed and/or replaced, so the entire glove does not have to be replaced. Lastly, we use a Chrome-Free Cowhide leather on the palm that is super supple and gives good flexibility.

Hestra’s most effective environmental message is to buy quality products and take care of them so you are consuming less. Many of gloves, with the right care, can last multiple seasons.
